My Journey to Studio Play: A Story of Embracing Authenticity and Empowering Children

This past year has been a transformative journey of self-discovery. After years of working closely with children with autism, I came to the life-changing realization that I, too, am autistic. At the age of 30, I received an autism diagnosis that helped me finally understand why I’ve always felt different. This revelation brought clarity and acceptance into my life, and while it wasn’t easy, it allowed me to embrace my neurodivergence as a strength.

My journey shattered the common stereotypes surrounding autism and intelligence, revealing how beautifully they coexist. For the first time, I felt comfortable in my own skin, embracing the unique quirks that make me who I am. This profound experience deepened my commitment to creating spaces where children can thrive—especially those who, like me, may feel misunderstood.

As a dedicated Early Childhood Education Specialist, Parenting Coach, and Behavioral Therapist, I have always been passionate about helping children reach their full potential. Over the years, I have worked to empower parents and educators with evidence-based strategies that nurture well-rounded, resilient children. Now, with this new understanding of myself, I am more determined than ever to make a lasting impact in the lives of children and their families.

This passion led me to create Studio Play, an inclusive, play-based learning environment where children of all abilities can explore, create, and grow. My vision for Studio Play is simple but powerful: to provide a space where every child feels seen, valued, and inspired. Through immersive exhibits, sensory-friendly spaces, and hands-on learning, Studio Play is designed to support the unique strengths and needs of each child, encouraging them to embrace their potential through the power of play.

Through my platform, Childhood Curations, and my years of experience working in early childhood education, I have seen firsthand how important it is to provide inclusive, nurturing environments for children. Studio Play is the culmination of this work—a place where creativity, exploration, and inclusion come together to create lasting learning experiences for all children.

I invite you to join me on this journey as we build Studio Play, a place where children can thrive, families can connect, and our community can grow stronger through the transformative power of play.
